How to Skip Scheduling in Oracle Order Management Flow

In this post I will explain how to skip Scheduling.

Some time customer has requirement to skip the scheduling process, e.g. for repair orders etc. In last few years I have noticed that in most cases customer thought of modifying the workflow. BUT there is no need to do any such thing as oracle has provide a simple setup at the transaction type level to skip the scheduling.

Below is the Navigation path

Navigator > Order management responsibility > Setup > transaction type >
Define >

In the transaction type Form we have Field Scheduling Level and has LOV associated with it.
LOV has values like
Inactive Demand without Reservation.
Inactive Demand with Reservation
Etc.
Whenever user requirement is to skip the scheduling they can select any of the above values based on their requirement for reservation.

If above setup still not work for you ,Please check Profile Option
OM: AutoSchedule
as well as make sure that Auto Schedule is not checked in transaction type forms and also in Menu > Tools

SubLegder Accounting in R12 SLA Part -1 In these article, we will explore the very basics of SLA and why it exists. Firstly, what exactly does SLA do? SLA is a module which now sits between the SubLedgers like AP/AR etc and the General Ledger. Have a look at this diagram below.  As you will notice, SLA can act as a mediator between the subledgers and Oracle General Ledger. Before we progress, some terminologies of R12 must be revisited. In 11i we had set of books, and in R12 we call them Ledgers. Likewise in R12 we also have secondary ledgers and reporting ledgers. Hence from 11i perspective think of Ledger as Set of Books.
